The French Valley is considered one of the most beautiful trails in Torres del Paine National Park, located in the heart of the W circuit. The diversity of landscapes; forests, lakes, mountain ranges and hanging glaciers, make this full day trekking the ideal excursion for nature and adventure lovers.
We start departing from the hotel by vehicle at 7:30 am, which takes us to the Pudeto dock, where we board a catamaran that crosses the glacial waters of the famous Lake Pehoé, to the Paine Grande refuge, at the foot of the mountain of the same name, where we begin our hike. Passing through a diversity of landscapes and with a gentle slope we arrive at the Italiano Camp. From there, with a steeper slope, we continue walking into the valley, through a dense forest of lenga and coihue trees overlooking an impressive hanging glacier, until we reach the French viewpoint. A place surrounded by granite walls and where you can enjoy one of the most incredible views of the park.
