A day at Estancia Cerro Guido: from the field to the table in the heart of Chilean Patagonia

There are places that are experienced with all the senses. Places where history, nature, and rural life intertwine to create an experience that can only exist in Patagonia. Estancia Cerro Guido is one of them.
Here, each day begins with golden light over the pampas and ends with the deep silence of an infinite sky. We invite you to experience a typical day at the estancia, just as our visitors do: with calm, connection, and authenticity.

Sunrise on the pampas: Patagonia awakens

The first rays of light illuminate the mountain range, tinging it with shades of pink. The day is already well underway from the early hours, while birdsong sets the natural rhythm of the morning.

After waking up in their cozy rooms, our guests enjoy a Patagonian breakfast with a variety of freshly baked breads, homemade jams, pastries, local charcuterie, and steaming coffee. A great start to a day full of nature and adventure.

Guided trekking morning: explore Patagonia at your own pace

Morning is the ideal time for hiking. The light is soft, the wind is still calm, and wildlife moves freely.

Each step connects with the essence of the territory: the solitude of the pampas, the monumental scale of the landscape, and the feeling of walking in a place that remains untouched.

Noon with a taste of the far south

After hiking, returning to the estancia feels even better.
A lunch prepared with fresh, local products awaits visitors: local meat, seasonal vegetables, and recipes that preserve Patagonian traditions.

The table becomes a place to share stories, relax, and prepare for the afternoon’s activities.

Afternoon horseback riding: exploring the pampas Patagonian style

In the golden afternoon light, one of Cerro Guido’s most iconic experiences begins: horseback riding.
Together with our baqueanos, guests ride across the steppe on horseback, following trails that have been used for generations.

From horseback, Patagonia feels even bigger and closer at the same time. The sound of hooves, the wind blowing through the grasslands, and the presence of guanacos and birds accompany you on your journey.

It is a unique opportunity to connect with rural traditions and the country way of life.

Sunset and flavors by the fire

When the sun begins to set behind the mountains, the estancia fills with calm.
The night is made for reconnecting: with those traveling with you, with nature, and also with yourself.

On special nights, the team prepares a Patagonian barbecue and dishes inspired by country cuisine. The aroma of wood smoke, the crackling of the fire, and the stories shared make dinner an experience in itself.

The true essence of Cerro Guido

More than a hotel, Estancia Cerro Guido is an invitation to experience Patagonia from within.
It is feeling the wind, listening to the silence, learning about rural life, and letting nature set the pace for the day.

Those who arrive at the estancia discover a place that breathes history and preserves the essence of Patagonia in every detail.
A place to disconnect, explore, and return to simplicity.
